Cyberpunk Skunk began on September 16, 2024 and was finished on January 24, 2025. The aim was to produce a track with a modest acoustic guitar presence mixed with hard techno electronica, symbolising Melody transitioning from her music career to explore The Bugs and other strange happenings in cyberspace.

The opening, hard-hitting beat for this track was inspired by Revengeday's "CYBERDECK", a track I found really energises me during my bike rides: revengeday.bandcamp.com/album/cyberdeck-single

This cover artwork began in Assembly, a graphic design app for iOS I use to make almost all my artworks, beginning with the SVG assets from Smellville and Smellody, adopting Melville's detailed hoodie design and improving the 3D effect on Melody's headphones. As seen in this video, this cover artwork originally depicted Melody stepping out of the Smellville store leaving her guitar behind to enter this digital world.

Also, the title art was originally going to be spelt with swishy strokes similar to Melody's tail. Despite spending a lot of time on this, I opted for a simpler geometric word art design because I thought it looked less messier. The background is the inside of a desktop computer I designed for my tracks in the GLHF album.
