The pain and helplessness I felt were further compounded when I spoke out about the abuse, only to be met with threats against my own children. The song is a tribute to my brave nephew, who suffered unimaginable trauma at the hands of someone he trusted - his grandfather, whom he affectionately called "Grumpypants." As his safe haven, I've watched his smile and light fade, and it's a pain that I carry with me to this day. Now, at almost 6 years old, my nephew is beginning to find his voice, and it's heartbreaking to hear him express the pain and hurt he's endured. This song is a continuation of "Little Bear's Lullaby," and it's a testament to the resilience and courage of survivors of child abuse. Be prepared for a emotional and tearful listening experience.
