Emily King
King was born Emily Cowings to an international jazz duo, Marion Cowings and Kim Kalesti. Emily and her brother were always exposed to music, especially jazz and classical sounds during their childhood. "It was an amazing experience," she says. "It was very challenging. We went from the fanciest hotels one day, to the dirtiest motels the next day -- you know, just living off a musicians paycheck. Also, being around so much incredible music. We were in the jazz world so I was with Dizzy Gillespie one day to Clark Terry the next day.

Who I Am
I want to have a heart that stays grateful and grounded, always pliable, never regretful. #24, “Who I Am”, is a reflection of all this wrapped up in a song. And my producer Charlie Crane took what I wanted to paint and ran with it! A sonic journey that evolves while taking some fun twists and turns. A song can help me express the deepest parts of me in ways I didn’t even know I had. My hope and prayer is that this song takes you through a cathartic journey to help you reflect, be present, and dream for the future too. From one dreamer to another! ✨more

Dream/Follow Me
This was a fun collab that we did in a week! Definitely will polish it up, but it was such a blast with Zubrisraps. Dream/Follow Me By: Susie Maddocks & Zubris Music by Susie Maddocks I turn into a tyrant Every time I close my eye lids I don’t wanna lead in violence keep me away from those dreamland islands Lay down and rule over me I’ve seen what you can do in your sleep Pre Weighted lids need sweet relief Rest your head don’t fret it will all be brief I’ve dreamt what these hands can do No need for me to watch over you… I’ve seen what these hands can do It’s not I trust me…you’ll be through. Staring at the ceiling Caught up in my thoughts just reeling - feeling Lying awake and I’m barely breathing Lump in my throat, I can barely put a meal in Relax my love and take your time I’ve seen you in action you’ll be fine Pre Your crown awaits your majesty Settle in and follow me… I’ve dreamt what these hands can do No need for me to watch over you… I’ve seen what these hands can do It’s not I. Trust me…you’ll be through. Bridge Shut your eyes As God Buttons the horizon Clear Skies Except for Fireflies Take Heed Enemies are setting lies in They break Teeth And feed off all your cries…. I’ve dreamt what these hands can do No need for me to watch over you… I’ve seen what these hands can do It’s not I trust me…you’ll be through. I've Dreamt what these hands can do..more
