George Jones
By most accounts, George Jones (born George Glenn Jones September 12, 1931 in Saratoga, Texas, died April 26, 2013, in Nashville, Tennessee), was the finest vocalist in the recorded history of country music. Initially, he was a hardcore honky tonker in the tradition of Hank Williams, but over the course of his career he developed an affecting, nuanced ballad style. In the course of his career, he never left the top of the country charts, even as he suffered innumerable personal and professional difficulties.

Devils Fiddle
The Devils Fiddle I wrote about because of listening to the Veterans that I know and their stories of struggles after returning from serving in the war and their inner battles they faced long after that war ended. The Devil's Fiddle solo part, with its high-pitched, screeching strings, that's the tension and emotional scars left behind, those struggles of having to adjust back into society but having to carry the burdens of life. This track took me awhile to make because it is not just a song—it’s a window into the unseen struggles of those who fight battles both on and off the field.more
