He is Legend
When He Is Legend signed to Solid State Records, the band had already stirred a blaring buzz all their own. But they were just getting started. 2004 put He Is Legend on the map and on the move. In June, the five North Carolina natives released their debut EP, 91025 with Tribunal Records, a label most noted for helping launch the careers of bands like Atreyu and From Autumn to Ashes. The release received rave reviews, stirring the anticipation even further for He Is Legend's debut full-length album, I Am Hollywood, released November 2nd, 2004.

Walls
Written during/after an abusive marriage, this song is about the feelings of inadequacy while trying to earn love from someone who was eventually uncovered to have been unfaithful. ~ lyrics: We’re not on the same page We missed again today I hate the place we end up when we stray Don’t look me that way I feel a creeping rage Recoil at your face I hope it goes away You don’t see me that well I tried to run, but still I wasn’t small enough to go unseen Punching fists with the walls It never helps at all Hate in my heart Oh God, why were we so mean You’ll never come around No I don’t pick up, don’t make a sound Oh no, I don’t I feel lost, when will I be found We seek our ways to run around Will I find you Come around sometime You’ll never be mine Not this time You will never swing it It was Good At least it could’ve I know it could have been so good … What’s a mask when you don’t have a face ~ credits: from World of Pain, released August 9, 2024 Music by Alexander Tichenor, Mason Bellamy, and Ryan Bilikam Lyrics, Production, and Additional Mixing by Mason Bellamy Recording, Mixing, and Additional Vocals by Zach Hurst Mastering by Jake Pastor Recorded at Signal Flow Studios in Cleveland, OH more
