Digital Disconnection
Another song coming from my upcoming 2nd Album: The Beauty In Brokenness, this will be Track 9. This song is a haunting reflection on the consequences of living in a digitally-driven world. LYRICS: [Verse 1] Here’s another piece of me, Breathed into digital air. Can’t undo or delete, Now it’s everywhere. [Verse 2] I'm chasing validation, but it's just an illusion, A never-ending loop of self-doubt and confusion. But beneath the surface lies a truth I can't ignore, I’m trading my humanity for a digital score. [Chorus] I’m trying to connect, But it means something different now. I’m trying to accept, Without really knowing how. I’m trying to not compare, Between my life and theirs. [Verse 3] There’s a digital shadow of me, In every like and share. Is it really love? Do you really care? [Verse 4] Another virtual friend, with hidden intentions. Notifications sounds, whistle for my attention, And I soon give in, but can’t price what I’m giving, But I know it’s worth less than just living. [Chorus] I’m trying to accept, Without really knowing how. I’m trying to not compare, Between my life and theirs. [Bridge] I’m a stranger, an illusion, lost in this digital life. I'm a filter, a highlight reel, a curated disguise. And I am left chasing the high of a virtual thrill. It’s hard to come out, come down, the crash is real. [Chorus] I’m trying to accept, Without really knowing how. I’m trying to not compare Between my life and theirs [Outro] It’s hard to take a step back, When you digital footprint, is all over the virtual world. It walks me into a feeling, I just can’t avoid. I’m stuck in this digital void. (Of Digital Disconnection) (Of, Digital Disconnection) …. (Of, Digital, Disconnection) (Of, Digital, Disconnection)more

Toxic Fingerprints
This is track 6 from my upcoming 2nd album: The Beauty In Brokenness. This song is about being in a controlling relationship and what it does. LYRICS: [Instrumental] [Intro] I, let myself down, by, believing in you, I, shut myself out, to, everyone but you. [Verse 1] I, started to lose sight, of those I never got to see, You, took control of me, and I was made weak. You, influenced all of my decisions, So my mistakes would repeat. [Verse 2] You, moulded me, into what you wanted me to be, I, became your puppet, and you pulled the strings. You, made me a ghost, in my own life, Friends and family got pushed to the side. [Chorus] Your toxic, fingerprints. Brought, me, to my, knees. Your toxic, fingerprints. Were, all, over, me. [Verse 3] There's being made to be someone new, And being made to never feel the same. I became a ghost, to others in my life, A shadow of myself, pulled from the light. [Verse 4] My friends and family, tried to reach out to me, But you were whispering "don't, I'm all you need" Even when your lies started to be wearing thin. Somehow you would still pull me back in. [Chorus] Your toxic, fingerprints. Brought, me, to my, knees. Your toxic, fingerprints. Were, all, over, me. [Bridge] You, made, me, lost, for words, You, made me, forget, what works. You were controlling in your nature, And you were toxic in your traits. And I couldn’t trust any change, You put so many obstacles in my way. I couldn’t know if I was falling into a trap, Or finally getting away. [Chorus] Your toxic, fingerprints. Brought, me, to my, knees. Your toxic, fingerprints. Were, all, over, me. [Outro] Now look at the lengths that you went to, Just to not let me think things through. And now look where that got you, Far enough away from me. Now there isn’t any of you, Left to see.more

Angel Band
"Angel Band" is Ruth Etc.’s latest hit, where Southern blues rock meets country folk gospel. The Mississippi singer songwriter is currently working on her first full length album with Eternal Beyond studios. The story behind the song: Ruth Etc. hosts a weekly open mic where her friend, Mira, had been coming to watch for months. Mira finally got the courage to get up and sing a few original songs. Days before her debut, Mira passed away in a car accident. That night, Ruth went home to write the chorus, wishing she is in heaven playing music with the Angel Band. A full explanation of the lyrics can be found on the Ruth Etc. website and socials. Thanks for listening!more
