Carnations
Written & Produced by: Yunus Emre Aydın * Lyrics: Velvet gesture Seditious contestation Of a delicate marauder * Disfigured apathy Belonging to many lovers Honored yet by none * Disillusion Diaspora of a habit A beloved other to confusion * Has one who Stands upon the end Still have aught left to hide * Somehow vivid Neither lesser nor enhanced Questioning without regret * Unrectified wrong Poisoned the roots evergreen Exhumed forgotten but absorbed * I unbound the knees And nailed them down So they'd never wander off Without me, yet within me, I waited With my teeth, I tore them loose And nailed them down Fearing my hands might fail I muttered Bouquets of carnations spilled from my lips Their scent, the sweetest of all Longing, as longing blooms Grows thorns—so that one day, this very day They might remain with me Filling the holes opened without my presence Filling them with the weight of my absence Unbeknownst to me, they slip away You've seen—how they laugh How bright they were, as I shed carnations shed carnations shed carnations shed carnations Oh, how deeply I missed How the vane of time spins in mind Keys lost How in my dreams I nailed them all down * I nailed them all down I nailed them all down I nailed them all down I nailed them all down * Don't fail me now Don't fail me now Don't fail me now Don't fail me nowmore

Solace
Written & Produced by: Yunus Emre Aydın Lyrics: * A distant friend now the virtue outtold Knocking steps over the hedges unbound Denying the end, a drifter tracing his line, A lone memory—the solace in a world so cold. * Rejoice, sweet madness, for you're yet untouched by time. No cold flesh yet to rot beneath your embrace, Nor flowers blooming where your head would grace, No mercy shall quiet the ache of your blaze, Nor shall your name be lost in sorrow's rhyme. * I watched the slow unraveling of woven ways, Fractured like a word no time could mend. While fervor turned and feasted on its core, Beneath a veil where dwindling hopes lay sore, Rose life's cry — tainted and unnamed * Broods of dream, their nests hollowed deep, Headlong against the soil that grants no sleep. A smile aged white in a sudden lapse, Far from the warmth nostalgia traps. They lie in sync beneath a snowbound shade, Low chords of pleading, bound to fade. A tardy herald of a death too swift No mourner came to send him adrift. The earth, this time, has overstepped its role, Named by what it gives and what it stole. Did he mistake the noose for a friendly rope, Or was he always drunk on borrowed hope? Galloping down, still headlong through the plain What was this ache you nursed within your frame? * I watched the slow unraveling of woven ways, Fractured like a word no time could mend. While fervor turned and feasted on its core, Beneath a veil where dwindling hopes lay sore, Rose life's cry — tainted and unnamed * I saw the end, O hunter As you gathered the buds of the night in their dance, Each one painting my being in quiet hues. I saw what stillness meant—melting, unashamed. The only thing I lost—to recur, yet ever strange. The tremor that kept vigil at the edge of fate Let me die, unshadowed by its name. * The radiant fury—unworthy of such hate. The life I spared—a child the world forsakes. If not that, then what has made me stray? If not that—whose burden is the weight? To whom shall the reckoning descend? What color were her eyes... while yet they wept the past? What color were her eyes... as tears clung, unsurpassed? * I watched the slow unraveling of woven ways, Fractured like a word no time could mend. While fervor turned and feasted on its core, Beneath a veil where dwindling hopes lay sore, Rose life's cry — tainted and unnamed * I watched the slow unraveling of woven ways, Fractured like a word no time could mend.
