The Lord put the song "Living Water" on my heart in a time where I had stepped out in faith and dropped fear at the wayside. I knew I did what the Lord said but it didn't look pretty at the moment. I wanted to understand but I knew I had to trust. I had to remember just because He tells me to do something doesn't mean it's going to end all butterflies and rainbows in that moment. Obedience and stepping out in faith can be hard but there's such goodness that does eventually come. Everything is for our good, and I know this to be true because God says "“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)
If you're in a spot where you stepped out in faith but are struggling to see the purpose and goodness in it, I want to encourage you to just sit in God's presence. Be honest with Him! Tell Him about your doubt and feelings just like a friend. He wants you to come to Him as you are.
That's what the song "Living Water" is. Me going to Jesus' feet telling Him my hurt, asking for help, and giving Him all the glory and praise even in the lowliest place.more
