💔 "Quicksand" was supposed to be a ballad.
But like all things born from love and chaos—it turned into a screamo confession.
Written for my daughter, a strong woman in uniform caught in an on-again, off-again love story with a fellow officer, this track is as conflicted as it is real. Two people with badges, backstories, and baggage—constantly circling each other in a cycle that feels like gravity, like madness, like... quicksand.
This song is for anyone who's ever wanted to believe in "different this time." It's about obsession disguised as devotion, memory loss used as a survival tactic, and the magnetic pull of a toxic love wrapped in uniforms and unfinished promises.
Musically, it blurs genre lines—starting softish, and spiraling into screamo desperation. Because that’s what heartbreak sounds like when you’ve tried to reason with it too long.
It's not polished. It's not perfect.
But it’s honest. lol
Listen loud. Or quiet.
Just don’t lie to yourself while it plays. :)more
