The Byrds
The Byrds were a popular American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1964. They are considered one of the most important and influential bands of the 1960s. Their music bridged the gaps between the socially and spiritually conscious folk music of Bob Dylan, the studio trickery of The Beach Boys, and the sardonic rock of The Beatles. Some of their trademark songs include pop versions of Bob Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man and Pete Seeger’s Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There Is a Season)

Ain't Gonna Be a "Next TIme"
I wrote this a decade late and a dollar short but it's a rebuttal song to Carrie Underwood's tune "Before He Cheats" that was inspired by a YouTube comedy short that depicted what would really happen if a woman actually did all the things that Carrie describes in her song...more

Rabbit Hole
"This song centres around loss of a child; spiralling aimlessly day after day as each day leaves behind little reminders of the life that once was, or would could have been. It's title is inspired by the John Cameron Mitchell film of the same name (based on the David Lindsay-Abaire Pulitzer Prize Play). I wrote the song thinking about a miscarriage of a child and Parent fall into their own internal shells (shock), separately, and find it difficult to discuss the tragedy. The film got me thinking about what if in a parallel life the child's life existed and watched as we watched on from another... to infinity and beyond. Leaving ourselves little messages for ourselves to ignore/find... and the plummeting through the rabbit hole of the dark space depression and anxiety can take you. I cover the same subjects in many songs but try to colour the songs very differently." - dunkiemore
