I'm Gurley, a musician from MA. I moved out to LA last April but I just came back to the east coast for a bit due to some rocky personal waters and unemployment. That said, I released an album February 9th, 2024 across all platforms, Jepara Bruise, that has songs I'd been working on here and there since 2021. It's a bit eclectic, but if you like alternative indie electronic semi-experimental pseudo-intellectual type tunes then it may be for you. Explores more of the inner and the insecure. Something like Jai Paul, Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Mk.gee, Radiohead, etc. I don't really know, at this point it's just Gurley. To sell myself a bit more, people that have won multiple Grammy awards say that hearing some of my songs was "the first time they've heard something that they've never heard before." (That comment specifically relates to my song "Contrivance," but I also make stuff that's a bit more familiar). I've also had airplay on radio stations including the prominent 92.5 The River Boston. This is "Thinkin'" - Gurley off the new album Jepara Bruise. Lyrics: I Will try my best Gotta maintain But I No I won't expect Anything to change I went back to thinking Too much I began to regress All of my regrets Now I can't seem to Let up No there's nothing you can do So don't even try I got this on my own now I'm doing just fine I don't need your sympathy I don't need your cries Get that shit out your head, yeah Now push it to the side I went back to thinking Too much I began to regress All of my regrets Now I can't seem to Let upmore

nosebleeds
"Nosebleeds" delves deep into the complexities of navigating the uncertain terrain of a budding relationship. With poignant lyrics and captivating instrumentals, the song explores the vulnerability and fear of experiencing heartbreak once again, despite the fervent hope that history won't repeat itself. As the listener is drawn into the narrative of the track, they are enveloped in a whirlwind of emotions, ranging from anticipation and longing to apprehension and introspection. more
