So there's this phrase- "Three chords and the truth"- that I borrowed the music concept from. Then I drew inspiration from Prince for the lyrics- I've always loved his word play and story telling. Then I tossed in over 20 pop culture easter eggs just for kicks. I played with multiple styles- rock, acoustic, etc.- and settled on a blend that resulted in an 80s New Wave sound. Enjoy!more
