Another big departure for me. I wanted to write a song about people in coercive and toxic relationships (cheery stuff eh?). Each verse is written from a different point of view and none of them are me. I also wanted to play around with the vocal arrangement. In some parts the backing vocals are more of an instrumental pad.more

The first song I wrote on ukulele - so it's got three simple chords and plenty of repetition. Broken Bay Sport & Recreation Centre is a magical place just north of Sydney. It was established as the first National Fitness Centre in NSW in the 1940s and over the years countless thousands of children have been to Broken Bay for school camp. As a teacher I went to Broken Bay about fifteen times with many different schools and a very diverse range of kids. I never had a group that didn't love the experience.more
