Voivod are a progressive thrash metal band from Jonquiere, Quebec, Canada, with a very distinct sound. Formed by Denis "Piggy" D'Amour, Michel "Away" Langevin and Jean-Yves "Blacky" Theriault in 1982, the fledging group soon found the perfect singer in Denis "Snake" Belanger. A blend of thrash with some progressive rock thrown in (on Killing Technology), and lyrics leaning heavily on sci-fi imagery. One of the first Canadian punk and thrash bands to enjoy success outside of Canada

Spiritual Self
An inner dance and spiritual kind of feel. After releasing an album, It's nice to not have the pressure of releasing an album or an EP that lingers in my head. It's exciting to do either or but the singles route gives a peace of mind and relief of not having this overwhelming cloud of music. It's simple and refreshing
Sometimes the spirit has a dance and the main chorus riff is itmore
