The future is now! Gen 5 is just around the corner, and I figured right about now would be a better time than any to celebrate that. This song bloomed from a strange idea I had while messing around with odd sound design nonsense, which led me to create a melody that made me think "hey, this sounds hopeful and emotional, this could be a song about Gen 5!" Despite what my meme video on the subject might entail, I'm actually pretty dang excited for Gen 5, and I hope all you guys are too! (Also, I probably won't be making any Gen 5 songs for a while after this; I still have so much I need to do concerning Gen 4 music xD) Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy! I mixed this song entirely on my new AKG K240 Studio's - so it might sound different from my usual - please, feel free to give me any feedback or criticism! Dashie chops = best chops I'm not ultra happy with the mix on this one, but overall I think it turned out alright. Plus, I'm working to get better as a musician and perfectionism isn't beneficial to that, so regardless of any personal feelings towards it, I'm releasing whatever I make! That way, you guys can tag along as I journey towards becoming a better musician :) I struggled with a lot of the mixing decisions in this track, including deciding not to side-chain the bass and kick at the last minute, mostly because I just couldn't get it to sound quiet how I wanted it to and just decided high-passing the drums would work better xD So yeah, definitely some stuff I need to work on in the mixing and mastering department.
