Waking the Cadaver is a brutal death metal/deathcore from Shore Points, USA, formed under the name Death to Honor in 2004, but settled on the name Waking the Cadaver in 2006. The group has toured as a support act for many well-known extreme metal acts including Napalm Death, Immolation, Exhumed, Devourment and Dying Fetus. Waking the Cadaver has released three full-length albums, and one demo record. Waking the Cadaver self-classifies their musical style as "slamming gore groove" and also has the self-referenced tagline "Kingpins of Death."
