Rome Can Wait
Above a ré always a mi, a small beer the French call “un demi” And you, you belong to me Between one and three always two, the food we eat turns into poo And I, I belong to you And they say that all the roads might lead to Rome But for those who live in our home The roads go round and round Like the wheels of a bus through town That’s because there ain’t nowhere we’d rather go Than in each other’s arms, you know, Where we’re so tight, and let me be straight It feels so right and Rome can wait The rivers flow down to the ocean, injustice leads to revolution And you, you took my sorrow, made it elation Mix yellow, blue and you get green, make it past 12 and you’re a teen And I, I’m the lucky jester to my Queen And they say that all the roads might lead to Rome But for those who live in our home The roads go round and round Like the wheels of a bus through town That’s because there ain’t nowhere we’d rather go Than in each other’s arms, you know, Where we’re so tight, and let me be straight It feels so right and Rome can wait 15th of April, taxes due, 4th of July, Red, White and Blue Every single day of the year, our love is true MC square is energy, MC Hammer history You and me, it’s plain to see, were meant to be, like flowers and bees, Pods and peas, wine and cheese Ta dee da dee... You belong to me ... Ta dee da dee... I belong to youmore
