This is my song with XXL freshmen artist Wifisfuneral, i had a chance to work with him and this is the track we pushed out. The song is self produced and we both delivered some cool music.more

Focus
The song “Focus” is a beautiful soulful piece of artistry being solely produced by Aztec with Sydney artists True Vibenation on the horns, combined it’s a beautiful storytelling expression of emotions and heartbreak that you go through in life all while trying to say focused. Focused on what though? Somethings get so hard and painful that the end goal seems to get distorted and confusing that we sometimes sway from what we originally wanted. Life is a complex and complicated thing. it’s not black and white so there’s never an easy answer to anything and that’s what this song does best at exposing. From the smooth baselines, and detuned piano it replicates the imperfections within life, nothing is perfect and that’s exactly why everything within the production is just slightly off, nothing is perfect and while listening you have a desire to want to have something slightly better or different. There’s only 2 times the chorus and pre chorus plays, the verses are longer than expected, you want the chorus to play more, but that’s the genius of this song. It’s so imperfected that its perfect which is the very thing art is. Us humans desire perfection but we can never attain it, this song is directed at us. For us to be able to live in the here and now, accepting our flaws but also accepting we have a lot of good things going on life. Hence the line “Who said it was meant to be an easy road” we feel so entitled to good things and the things we want but never fully accept the consequences of the things we desire or work towards. Life is a perfect harmony of the ups and downs, the yin and yang. We wouldn’t have one without the other, no happiness without sadness. This song has you appreciate the good while you’re in it, which is a rare human experience, we only seem to appreciate the good while were in the bad. The music video also reflects similar attributes, while performing the song and trying to go about his day Aztec keeps encountering issues throughout the film. Overall, the visual hones in on a really layed back vibe with beautiful visuals, smooth cuts, soft colors and an almost nostalgia/relatable feeling story. The visuals also being shot, filmed, edited by Aztec, also known under his film alias Katashi Films. He’s been filming with quite a few other artists, pushing out some unique looking visuals that hasn’t been seen much in Australia and bringing something new not only to the music scene out here but also to the film scene. more
