Dan was born in a small sawmill town in Alabama. His family, not rich, didn’t have electricity or indoor plumbing until he was 4 years old. Then, at night his family listened to the radio. His first memory of music was listening to the Grand Ole Opry, a great way to be introduced to music. On Sundays they went to church where he heard gospel music and sang in the youth choir. His older sister acquired a small hi-fi record player and introduced him to early Rock n Roll and more vintage country. He got his first guitar at age 12 and is self-taught. His songs exude those olden days of nostalgia and the simple life, along with feelings of heartbreak and a blending of blues. He recently released 6 songs written by multi-genre song writer Wayne Wiggins, who understands and feels the olden style of country music. Dan’s debut songs are published on multiple digital services.
