Born: September 27, Washington DC African American singer, songwriter, and producer Hailed by some as one of the greatest songwriters, Dejour has been composing and singing rhythm and blues hits for some time now and working in the background with some of the top artist in the industry, Growing up in the mean streets of DC in the rough ghetto, a poor and generally dangerous neighborhood. Young Dejoura grew up listening to his mother's records, including the works of Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Prince , Michael Jackson and the Jacksons, these black artists, inspired him to become a song writer. Dejoura spent his youth writing songs and singing in local bands. He got his big break when the Late Kenny G Love Greene came to DC looking for a band and he was picked to do sound. Dejoura has worked with every top artist out there including gospel greats like Yolonda Adams, Booby Jones, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence, Kurt Carr, Karen Clark and a host of others.
