Formed at the end of 2021, Pop/Punk darlings GumShoe are my pick for 2023 Hottest New Band. Despite being in the infancy of their bands life, they have already shared the stage with national acts such as: ‘68, A Wilhelm Scream, Scotty Austin, & 96 Bitter Beings (as well as countless headlining shows in the local scene). WNY is full of talented bands, yet what sets GumShoe apart is their catchy 3-part vocals, bass-driven punk songs… and the team they’ve assembled around them. Kevin Sampson serves as the bands producer, Engineer Jay Zubricky at GCR Audio handles all their tracking needs, Matt Salzler and his team are in charge of music video filming/editing, and Jonathan Wisniewski rips out the Mix/Masters for the tunes. When you realize GumShoe’s ambition, combined with the A+ team of professionals around them, it’s easy to see why they’re primed to take things to the next level in 2023. Not bad for three guys from Batavia, NY.
