RAN42K began as a project in 2017. Their debut EP titled "5 Minutes Before the End of The World" nominated to EP of the year 2019, which includes 4 tracks including "On the Corner" which played for 13 weeks on the top national radio. "Hunters and Prey" is their 2nd EP with the single "Lady Supernova" which played for 4 weeks on the top national radio. Couch Sessions Vol. 1 is the band’s third EP in a period of 8 months. Recorded completely from home, the concept of this EP was to release music inspired by life in quarantine and served as a means of catharsis for the band members. The band is named after Salvadoran hero Jose Arturo Castellanos who was awarded the title "Righteous Among The Nations" for saving 42,000 lives during the WWII Holocaust. Stealing The Romance
Released on June 16, 2020, the single “Fool for Love” was a concept originally conceived in 2019 but it didn’t fit the mood of the songs that were to be released on the first or second EPs so it was left as a demo. The mood of this single finally found a stage during the pandemic, but lacked other songs to go with it, so the band decided to create alternate versions of previously recorded songs and record them as a new EP. These new versions allowed to experiment with new sounds such as Steel Guitar, French Horns and Bells.more
