A roots rock reggae artist who started his music journey at an early age. From the early 80s Rasbolan began writing lyrics and could be heard in the dancehall as a juvenile, deejaying and passing the microphone from hand to hand, while boring holes on the Dub side of the 45 or a Riddim LP. Known in those days as WAXIE CULTURE, PAPA WAXIE, SKIBBO RANKS. During his days in high school he would be heard in the Music Room deejaying his stuff while the great Dr. Paul Hamilton, Phanso Wilson, the late Carlton Grub Messam, Bevon Smith and many musically inclined Schoolmates would join the fun. It was during the 90s while working as a Police officer that he came to be called Squaddie Bolan, but after resigning from the Force, took onto the Rastafari faith and was given the name RASBOLAN, with songs like, RASTAMAN CONGO, OH MY GOD, PROPHECY REVEALING, DOWN A CORAL GARDEN, PEOPLE A BAWL, 21 SLENG, MUSIC GAME to name a few. And the journey continues. JAH BLESS.
