Rickie Johnson was born in Missouri in the blue-collar world of St. Louis with parents who had a love and appreciation for country music.
His interest in music started early on in life, as he remembers, hearing gospel, bluegrass and his now classic country music heroes on the radio. He awakened every morning, while preparing to walk to school, by the Grand Ole Opry TV broadcast. Musically Fed by his mother’s broad record collection and his father’s love for playing the guitar his interest was eagerly encouraged.
Thru the introduction and influence of the sound of the 1960s and 1970s Motown and rock music radio of his teens he has forged his new sound for bringing life to his favorite classic country covers.
