Stevie Allen was raised in Randolph County in North East Arkansas – a stone's throw from the rice and cotton fields of the Delta valley located at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. All four of Stevie’s grandparents and three of his great-grandparents lived within five miles of each other during Stevie’s youth, which instilled a principle that's become Stevie’s life theme, which is: what’s important in life is family and never forgetting from where you've come!
Raised in the Church of Christ from a young age, Stevie would sing all of the old hymns with his preacher's wife - "Miss Katie" (an excellent alto herself) - standing right next to him. Such an experience ultimately led to a choir scholarship for Stevie (at which time he also played college football as a successful walk on)! Stevie is on the road frequently but among his favorite “off-road” activities is still leading the singing at church when he’s home! Stevie and Lindsay have two children and have been married 24 years.

This trac has an unusual and upbeat 5/4 time signature and is oddly a Country & Red Dirt tune one can dance to while hearing about the unsung country singer who will likely never make it to superstar status (but will nonetheless die tryin')!more
