OKC/DFW-based independent artist KC Star got his start by posting pop/rap covers on his Soundcloud back in 2017, amassing over 150k plays today. He now writes, records, and produces his own original music inspired by his favorite pop stars like Kesha, Lady Gaga, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Dua Lipa. His sound is rooted in pop with influences of electronic/synth music, alternative, and hip-hop. He has released four EPs to date: Colors, Changes, Crushes, and Get There. Thematically, the first three explore the exhilarating ups and downs of life, authentically embracing transformation, and all the complex, fluctuating feelings that come with a crush, respectively. Get There is a project all about the electricity of life at a time when it feels like it has gone missing. As KC Star starts to solidify his voice and sound as an artist, his music puts the rising star’s versatility and growing confidence on full display.
