Bongani Qanduqandu ZA”Khanyile born and bred at Nkandla, Ezilozini Area is a professional maskandi musician and visual artist. He started listening to Maskandi music at the age of 15, at that time this music was very popular to his uncles who played it day and night. Among the artists who were playing non stop at home in the yard during “cassette "era were; Ngxalothi noMasevela , Mgqashiyo Ndlovu , Bhekumuzi Luthuli, Mgqumeni , Mtshengiseni of Mageza Amahle and many more. Qanduqandu ZA has always been curious in knowing why and how a singer writes a song. He grew with this curiosity until the year 2022, when his question was answered by the fact that he was also visited by the feeling of writing his first song called Salukazi ". In 2023, he professionalised his music journey and recorded his first Extended Play at GMD Studios titled “ Sibhudla Izinkabi " consitisting of 04 songs which is available in all digital stores.
