Created in late 2017 but remastered recently, I knew that Castle Chiroptera would turn into a haunted-castle-style track. -- It was inspired by the dramatic music of final levels and the feeling of dread accompanying them, which Castle Chiroptera's intense and emotive analog arp buildups aim to capture. Inspirations also include the Castlevania and Paper Mario games, as well as artists like Eric Prydz and deadmau5. -- Castle Chiroptera emphasises a long intro and bridge, to focus on the dramatic buildup and the surreal feeling of finally reaching the "final boss level" in a game. I believe the organ buildup from 4:30 minutes in was a great last-minute touch! -- The character in the cover art is Count Chiroptera - the owner of the haunted castle estate!
