Twice Around (from the upcoming 2023 album "Twice Around") is a medium tempo swing composition for 21-piece big band (5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 French horns, 4 trombones, 4 rhythm). It features a sax soli, an ensemble section, and lets the upright bass cut loose on a solo. Harmonically, this is one of the most intricate pieces I have ever scored, as it relies heavily on moving chordal harmonies within the chord changes.
