ECSTATICA: The happiest track I've ever made! Released today, I hope it makes you all happier, and brings back the holiday cheer stolen during these troubling times.

Ecstatica is the type of music I've ALWAYS wanted to make, ever since I discovered happy hardcore / nightcore / gabber / rave music, but I didn't know how to pull it off. Then finally, in one sitting during one sleepless night, I finally managed to create Ecstatica, my first happy hardcore track! It's my 38th release, and 105th track.

Right after finishing an earlier track called "Citadel", I typed Ecstatica's melody in Citadel's project file, then brought it into it's own file and expanded on it. The melody was originally written in C Major and the tempo was 144 BPM, but I decided to speed it up to 168 BPM and change the key to E Major to make something a lot more happier-sounding. I ended up finishing the entire track in just two hours and then crashed back to sleep. I guess 3:00 AM really is the most creative hour.

I recorded my iPad's screen while designing this cover art using the app "Assembly". Because some people are curious as to how I make my cover arts, I uploaded a time-lapse of this cover art's creation to my YouTube channel here: youtu.be/tWaUugJz1lg
