The decision to make “Never My Love” my first, official release came unexpectedly, and yet, after recording it, made so much sense. My approach to my own craft is so deeply inspired by the past, which consists of a lifetime of listening to and falling in love with the music of my parents’ generation. Aside from “Never My Love,” The Association and 60s music in general being personal favorites of mine, I wanted to create something that captured the essence of moving forward only being possible by looking back. It informs my understanding of everything I do, and finally having the gumption to put that out into the ether is such an energizing feeling.more
