The original idea came to me during my time with my first band, Silent Threat. I was in the studio with them during one of our jam sessions / hangouts and we would have friends come over occasionally. One of them got on the mic and put a vocal line that stuck with me enough to put music to it in my head. Eventually I came around to putting it to paper with lyrics about being lonely and afraid to approach people. That was pretty much my personality in those days which is probably why I was not very approachable. When you are afraid, you come across as awkward and somewhat creepy. Story of my life. 10 years later, I revisited the song and the “chorus” came to me suddenly. I was finally able to finish this song and now it all makes sense. - RJM (August 2020, Austin, Texas)more
