BAD LUCK - My 88th release, an electro-swing-turned-ambient-horror music about when Delgado pushed his luck too far at the Altar of Big Crypto...and lost a LOT more than his money! -- To stream this on other platforms like YouTube and Spotify, go to https://hyperfollow.com/moule/bad-luck -- Watch the timelapse of how I designed Bad Luck's cover art: https://youtu.be/Suk2PKOlZHk -- Bad Luck merch: https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/145233802 -- 😱 -- Bad Luck continues my focus on soundtracking the MOULE WORLD while also continuing to ignoring genre conventions - this track quickly turns from upbeat electro swing music to ambient horror! -- This track soundtrack's Delgado's misfortune at Altar of Big Crypto, a random number generator between 0 and 255. Betting a cryptocurrency called "dates", Delgado either gets a win or a loss based on how close the number is he bets. -- Unfortunately, the zerophobic Delgado placed his second bet on the number 176, but the Altar returned the big red zero, immediately turning the upbeat electro swing track into a tense ambient horror soundtrack as he wonders what his fate is (worse than death...you really don't wanna know.) So far, no one who landed on zero has been seen alive again to tell the tale. -- This track is similar to The Singularity (moule.bandcamp.com/track/the-singularity) but instead of Rocky falling victim to artificial intelligence, Delgado falls victim to Big Crypto. This is Delgado's "Singularity moment". "Bad Luck" takes place before the events of The Singularity and is what disbanded the Data Trio from Unlimited Data (moule.bandcamp.com/track/unlimited-data), comprised of Delgado, Rocky, and Melody. Melody is the only one of the three not affected, and she is working tirelessly to get Delgado and Rocky back from their respective fates! -- Fun fact: I deliberately chose my 88th release and priced it at AUD$0.88 to be themed around bad luck to subvert the number 88's reputation as being a lucky number. The number Delgado chose, 176, is double 88, and the resulting number from Big Crypto being 0 further subverts 88's status as a "lucky number" in some cultures. -- 😱 -- Let me know what you think on the Fediverse at mastodon.moule.world/@MOULE (copy and paste the link into your fedi instance's search bar), on twitter.com/MOULEOFFICIAL, or via "Contact MOULE" to the right of this page! -- For more MOULE, visit LINKTR.EE/MOULE and don't forget – always support your friendly (or grumpy) neighbourhood independent artists!more
