Nice to meet you. My name is Alex Locke. Born in San Francisco. Lived in Fort Leavenworth /Kansas, San Antonio/Texas, Brooklyn/New York, Vienna/Austria and Hamburg/Germany, to name a few. My experiences of constant motion are reflected in my music. A longing to stay but no choice other than to arrive and to leave. I have been listening/singing to music and melodies since I was a child. It never went away and I hope it never does. After experimenting with piano and saxophon in my teens I began my love/hate affair with the guitar. So, there it is: I am a soul singer that plays guitar. I grew up listening to Barry White , Simply Red, George Michael Chris Cross and basically every record i got my hands on. My music, goes from gentle strumming to the top of my voice.
