Influenced by her grandfather, a violinist, and her father, a classical pianist, Choco made her first professional stage debut as a solo artist at her age of 17 and regularly made appearances in a variety of shows based in the Kansai area in Japan, while attending high school.
In 1998, Choco went abroad to further her musical knowledge in the U.S.. She moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, where she dual majored in the Songwriting and Professional Music. While attending college, she has worked with numerous Jazz, Funk and Hip-Hop musicians inside and outside of school. She moved to NYC in 2003 and has been performing and producing shows. She has written numerous songs and recorded 5 of her original songs written in Japanese/English in Brooklyn New York & Malaysia. Choco is now preparing for her singles to be released this year.
