Richard Ford turned from a career as a professional bass player notably with Bill Nelson and then Joe Jackson to that of a music editor for feature films. Over the past 20 years he has worked with some of Hollywood’s great filmmakers on landmark films including American History X, Training Day, Sideways and Hidden Figures but the itch to get the basses out of the closet and create some music of his own has persisted throughout and eventually he went back to the studio to record his own music in his own way.
With no commercial aspirations, Basso Profondissimo is an unashamedly personal musical project.
A collection of music, designed on bass, played on bass and joined by some very talented guests.
