Emerging artist Goona from Santa Rosa, California creates his own brand of melodic rap, a genre of music fusing the rhythm-based lyricism of rap music with pop music's preference for melodious vocals. Growing up listening to artists like 50 Cent, Wu-Tang Clan, Boosie Badazz, Backstreet Boys, and Usher, he's been inspired most recently by American rapper, singer, and songwriter YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
Goona released the 2 song EP "Steppin Up" in 2020 featuring a collaboration with Yung Bart called "Cut Em Off" followed by "12." A second EP "Wake Up" was also released in 2020 with two songs, "Keep Going" followed by the title track "Wake Up." On Jan. 8th, 2021 Goona put out his fifth track "Don't Get It Confused" on all major streaming platforms.
Goona has released over 20 singles on SoundCloud and just dropped 2 more tracks, "Cold Hearted" and "Ride For Me" on Feb. 13th, 2021.
