Born and raised in Brunswick, Maine, Mike started out his music career as a bass player and vocalist gigging throughout the Northern New England states. Mike had penned a handful of rock tunes for one of the bands he was in, but really started focusing on songwriting after “bumping into Jesus” and finding this radically Spirit-filled church that had these Saturday night renewal” services. During a number of prayer sessions before the worship service, Mike fondly remembers being given a number of “words” that he would write “Songs of Deliverance”. Since then, Mike has written over 450 worship songs based on the spirit-filled walk of a Christian believer. In 2012, Mike released “The Intimate Journey”, a collection of songs reflecting the life of a believer and all the “ins and outs” still trusting in the Lordʼs faithfulness. The full length CD has reached (to date) 48 countries since its release. Mikeʼs heart has always been to fan the flame in both new and seasoned believers.
