Former Artist Nicolette Jen Bergeron, also known as Nicki Jem$ was born in 1994 Boston, MA. Nicki spent 6 years of her childhood living with both her parents, ”Donna Lee Bergeron and Paul Joseph Bergeron. In the year of 2000, Nicki's parents divorced. When Nicki turned 8 her father passed away from Cancer. Her aunt, "Amy Bergeron” also died from a gunshot wound to the head. These traumatic experiences had a great impact on her adolescence. Her father Paul was an Engineer and an artist himself as well as an inspiration for her and many that knew him. “He loved playing the guitar, drawing and making mickey mouse pancakes for me and my sisters”, Jem$ stated during an interview. Through the blood, sweat and tears of her trauma, she never gave up on her dreams and goals, leading her to become the creative, strong, inspiring artist she is today. Today, Nicki continues to make music and works as a Behavioral Health Technician at a Detox center in Boston MA , supporting addicts in recovery.
