Buddy Matt Coughlin, AKA "Pleasant Bud". Born on a Friday night in New Jersey, USA. Kidnapped by my mother at the age of six to hide out in a small town in eastern South Dakota. I discovered that I had new stepfather who was evidently a well-to-do man with a few restaurants all around the area. He was a gambler, however and soon Mom had to go to work for the competition on the other side of Main Street. Plummeting from the split-level 5 bedroom apartment above the Sears catalog store we landed in a cinder block 1 room divided- by-curtain shack in a trailer park near the edge of town. Yes, we couldn’t even get a trailer (caravan). We looked UP to trailer people! Stepdad disappeared and Mom decided it was safe to come out of hiding and return to Jersey City. Pressing forward on a long standing ambition to be the next famous guitar player I became the next not well known bass player. Played in my first bar at the age of 14. The glamorous life begins!
