Temporal Distortions is the solo project of Anthony Sosa, who has been playing live music in DFW since 2002. Well known acts include The Raven Charter, Huffer, and Jefferson Colby. This debut offering, “Volume is Power,” is a political endeavor with a clear message stylistically ranging from alternative rock to emo, post-hardcore and metal influences. Featuring many local artists from across many genres, the songs lyrically range from Sosa’s personal experiences like worker struggles of the service industry and DIY self empowerment, to historical issues like US imperialism, civil and labor rights and capitalism in the digital age. With an eye on the past, present, and future-- these songs weave sounds, quotes and ideas from many recent time periods to create Temporal Distortions.
