Another Way To Tell The Truth
We just finished this and decided to put it up prior to release to see what folks think. Hope y’all enjoy it. Lyrics: You have grown softer You should have been wiser Never take an offer Never take it off her Brace yourself for impact You know she’s got a stinger No one cares about fact No one cares that you’re a singer I know your mind is twisted When you’re standing at attention Focus on the color Was never your intention We know your limp is wristed With 10 exploring fingers In a sea of boiling water Pray the story doesn’t linger Keep yourself together Nobody should notice Talk about the weather Fly a flag of progress I know your mind is twisted When you’re standing at attention Focus on the color Was never your intention We know your limp is wristed With 10 exploring fingers In a sea of boiling water Pray the story doesn’t linger Never take it off her Even if she offers You should have been wiser You have grown softer I know your mind is twisted When you’re standing at attention Focus on the color Was never your intention We know your limp is wristed With 10 exploring fingers In a sea of boiling water Pray the story doesn’t linger And if that little bird don't Sing like it's supposed to No one's gonna buy you Another way to tell the truthmore

Nobody’s Fate
Casey and I decided to deliberately write a "twee" anthem as a joke. We wrote deliberately, overtly poetic lines that would make even the most literate connoisseurs of poetry roll their eyes. What we wound up with was a song that was actually really good. The light guitars, the mandolin, ukulele combination, along with the piano accents are the perfect frame for the three part harmony that I feel we executed quite well. lyrics: We could be a whisper We could be an opera We could be the ocean We could be the standing stones We could be horizons We could be so cavalier We could run for office We could run from all our fears And when they fall on their face We'll be running wild All this time and triumph All that eddies in your hair All the magic potions that were poured into your ear Could not find the rhythm Could not find your common sense Could not be the lever that could pry me from your fence And when they fall on their face We'll be running wild Nobody's fate was sealed anymore And when they fall on their face We'll still be running wild Nobody's fate was sealed anymoremore

Moments Flat
Started out as a solo piece with just ukulele and vocal. The magic happened when my voice was joined with Casey’s harmony vocal and Nick’s orchestral arrangement. more
