Born in New York, raised in Atlanta, the now South Florida rapper Vizual Warrior is making his mainstream debut with his newest EP, Go For Broke. Vizual Warrior was born in Queens, New York, but grew up in metro Atlanta. Now residing in South Florida, he got his start in music by playing the trombone in jazz and pop bands. Falling in love with funk and disco, he carried this passion with him into college, where he dove into the production side of music. After releasing several projects on SoundCloud, Vizual worked mainly on mixing and mastering for other artists until the latter half of 2020, where he decided to fully commit to making his music of his own. Vizual Warrior's style leans heavily into the jazz and funk music that he listened to growing up, with his lyricism and flow reminiscent of several eras of hip-hop.
