This is a song I wrote freshman year of highschool in 2018. It's a track off of my first EP "This Is Art." Out now. This song is written from the perspective of a mother of color reflecting back on the years of hardships and trying times people of color had to go through and continue to go through, As well as the image of seeing her children and family go through the same troubles. I'm in junior year of highschool now and I had no idea how relevant this song would turn out to be during these times. I hope you enjoy. more
