Jahplaka grew up in Abeka Lapas, Ghana, his musical journey started by singing songs taught by his mom to his father’s church congregation at the age of 6. The second of 5 kids being born from a musical family, his mother a chorister and father, a pastor, an ex-member of the early 70’s Ghanian band Explosive Confusion, co-wrote ‘How Long‘, one of his finest masterpieces from his debut studio project Vitamin C.Fast forward, Plaka developed a love for reggae and rap music, inspired listening to greats like Buju Banton, Damian Marley and Busta Rhymes he started creating and re-writing songs and performed to his friends, In high school, Jahplaka battle rapped throughout his stay which led him to voice his first demo in 2013.
