Multi-Instrumentalist/Vocalist/Songwriter Jasper “Jazzolosophy” Myers is a Chicago native. He grew up listening to the sanguine sounds of Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, George Benson, Norman Brown, Donald Byrd, The Blackbyrds, Stevie Wonder, Wes Montgomery, The Jazz Crusaders courtesy of his father's record collection. Not to be outdone his mother infused his soul with James Brown, The Stylistics, Motown, Luther Vandross, and Diana Ross and the Supremes. As Jasper got older, he got into his own style and favorites with music such as smooth/contemporary jazz, Avant Garde, Straight Ahead Jazz, RnB, Soul, Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop/Rap, Gospel, House, Dance, 70's, 80's, 90's, Classical, Country, World, Bossa Nova, Adult/Alternative, Americana, etc... All of the aforementioned genre's of music have helped to shape and inform his sound.
