My real, legal name is J—yes, just the letter, no period. (There’s a story there...) I grew up in Phoenix and went to college in New Jersey. My first EP was tracked in Nashville and toured in the pubs of Oxford. Now I live in Tennessee, where I’m working on music inspired by stories and reflections from hospice. I also drive around the US and play a lot of house shows. My songwriting is grounded in true stories and old ideas, few of which are my own.
