Being part of my upcoming Nostalgic Romance EP, Favourite Mistake covers the topic of reminiscing past relationships, more specifically looking back and learning from what you and your partner went through during the relationship. My idea of a relationship is there always needs to be a growth factor involved. Even if the relationship ended horribly, you learn from your mistakes which therefore makes it your favourite mistake because at least the person you were with taught you lessons. The verses are contradictory to the choruses because while the verses hinder on how the person is the only one I wanted, the chorus is me telling myself “yes she was amazing and made you happy but you need to learn and let go.” This idea is the essence of my upcoming EP and Favourite Mistake is the turning point.
