Lawrence started out learning to play the piano as a child and moved onto synthesisers and electronic music composition as a teenager studying music at school in Essex, England. At Leeds University, he bought a Roland D5 synth and hardware pattern sequencer, and wrote and produced several electronic tracks inspired by artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis. After Uni, the issues of building a career in IT in London and raising a family took up his time. During the Covid Pandemic of 2020, in lockdown, with the kids now teenagers, he rediscovered his passion for electronic /ambient musical composition. Things have moved on a long way in 30 years. Lawrence uses Presonus Studio One DAW to compose, program, mix, and master his own tracks.
