To whom may need to classify this band, this project, this union, this sound... Palast Oblivion is a music contribution of 4 friends to a pragmatic vision of moral social interaction. Rooted in Berlin Lichtenberg, the band draws inspiration from the historical memory of Brutalism/PostModernism/Constructivism/Functionalism ethic and aesthetic. "Keine Träume, nur Beton" (no dreams, just concrete) is a sentence to be found on a graffiti in the Berlin Friedrichshain district. Probably written to protest against the real estate speculation that have displeased the citizens in the last decade. Taken into our dimension, it rather changes perspective... somehow defining a pretty clear statement: prefer the durable to the ephemeral, embrace the warmth of coldness. Everyone has the imagery they deserve, ours is set in a concrete sound Babilonia of Alternative Rock, Post-Punk, New Wave and Shoe-gaze.
